Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Canine and Feline Wellness Programs:

Including all of your pet's annual vaccinations. We recommend annual wellness exams, blood testing and vaccinations to keep your dog or cat healthy and to diagnose and treat problems before they become serious. We also recommend annual and semi-annual testing for various parasites, along with year round parasite prevention.

Surgical Services

Our experienced veterinarian provides many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Because we want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be beneficial. Our veterinary team takes every precaution so that your pet receives the highest-quality care. We perform a physical exam and preanesthetic testing before surgery, monitor your pet during surgery, and provide appropriate pain medication to keep your pet comfortable during recovery.

Anesthesia

We make every effort to make anesthesia as safe as possible, especially for our older or higher risk patients. We offer pre-anesthetic bloodwork profiles that can be done in house the same day as the surgical procedure. During anesthesia we monitor multiple vital signs including but not limited to heart rate, respiratory rate, SpO2, CO2, and blood pressure. While your pet is asleep a technician is assigned to monitoring visible vital signs as well the readings on the electronic monitor to make sure you pet is not only safe, but also as pain free as possible during all procedures.

Radiology Services

We offer on site state of the art digital radiographs (x-rays). Digital radiographs allow us to take sharper images that can be enlarged as well as lighten and darken to best visualize different body parts on a single image. This allows us to get diagnostic images with fewer shots reducing your pet's exposure to radiation as well as saving you money. We also have digital dental radiography to improve our ability to diagnose and treat dental disease. Images created in a digital format also make it much easier to make copies of your pet's x-rays for referral or travel if needed.

Computed Tomography (CT)

Although humans and animals are different in many ways, some advances in human medicine have also become very useful for veterinary patients. One of these advances—computed tomography (CT; formerly called CAT scanning)—has proven to be a powerful diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine. As a practice, one of our key goals is to offer state-of-the-art medicine and diagnostic testing; so we are pleased to offer CT as a means of providing a higher level of quality care for our patients.

CT uses X-ray technology and sophisticated computers to create images of cross-sectional “slices” through the body. By examining these sections, we can evaluate small details inside the body. CT can help diagnose a variety of medical conditions in pets, including brain injuries, spinal cord problems, and bone injuries. CT is also very useful for diagnosing nasal or sinus tumors and infections.

Veterinary patients undergoing CT must be placed under general anesthesia or sedation; however, each pet is carefully monitored during and after the procedure to ensure a safe and complete recovery.

CT has been safely used in human diagnostic medicine for many years. In veterinary medicine, CT is an important tool that can help us make a correct diagnosis for your pet. Our CT service is staffed by caring, skilled professionals who will provide state-of-the-art care with compassion and expertise.

As we strive to provide our patients with the highest quality medicine and diagnostic testing, we are pleased to offer CT as one of our diagnostic capabilities.
